LAUSD Theater and Choreography
Workshops |
 |
|
 |
Since
2001, I have been participating in a series of workshops
sponsored by Los Angeles Unified School District for both
teachers and students. The workshops guide its participants
through the process of creating original dance theater
pieces. For the teachers it is an opportunity to discover
a blueprint of sorts for them to go back to their own
schools and create similar theater pieces; for the students,
it is a great opportunity to meet and work with students
from other schools, getting to know each other within
the safe and fun context of the performing arts. |

Costa Rica |

Trip
to Costa Rica — I enrolled in Spanish language immersion
classes at COSI (Costa Rica Spanish Institute), and had
the opportunity to study and travel the countryside with
a great teacher named Norman; and for a few days, to teach
basic English to some absolutely adorable kids in the
local elementary school.. |

Summer Stage |
 |
|
|
I
had a fantastic time helping to celebrate the 25th anniversary
of Summer Stage in my hometown of Upper Darby, PA. Summer
Stage is an amazing summer theater program that gave me
(and many, many talented young people) their first introduction
to the performing arts. |
